Has anyone noticed the overabundance of car covers being sold on ebay? Today I do a search on Buick Centurion and I get like 40 car covers. :blast:

I never see any of these things sell. I also just did a search on 1971 Buick, and I got 6 pages worth of crap, when I usually get 2 or 3 pages. Most of the 6 pages I got tonight are CAR COVERS!!!

    What the......

  2. I'm also a little tired of scrolling thru page after page of car covers and postcards.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Ebay had a free listing day on the 26th. Most people probably set up to start free auctions on Saturday. An "overload" for sure.

ahhh.....that would explain the explosion in the clogging numbers of car covers right now.

As a quick fix, you can type in -cover* with your search line and that will get rid of a lot of them. You might have to do the same thing for tag frames, key rings, HID bulbs, and other trinkets. Ebay seems to be full of junk auctions now.

To be honest, I felt into the trap and bought one of these car covers. Any case, I had no choice, as the likelihood of finding a car cover for such a boat in Europe is nil. Nevertheless, the stuff was shipped in 5 days, and I strongly believe I have got a good value for my 35$ :TU: (taylor made one was 200 $ here in France)

This being said, now that I have my cover, I am fed up too with the car covers on e-bay.....

Forgot to mention: When I posted my bid for the car cover on e-bay, the counter still said there were no bidders for this item.
They must have a trick for hiding the bidders.

I e-mail them on a cover for my 84 Century wagon and they told me to order one for a 56 Century:confused: .

I think the problem is the way we (me included) query on stuff. If you query on say "69 Buick" you will get back everything from a buick coffee mug to a TH400 tranny. If you queried specifically from the ebay motors page or on parts only (i'm not sure exactly how yet) you probably wouldn'y get all the B.S. returns.

I'm sick of the car covers and magazine adds too. It's like a fly that won't buzz off, it just keeps coming back to annoy you.
