speaker installation 70 electra

    how did you install your front and back speakers in a 70 electra and what did you cut and any photos where did you put them high or low,thanks

    It would all depend how much you want to cut up. I've seen guys cut big gaping holes in the dash or door panels, and the same with the back deck too. I personally never like to cut holes in a good solid original interior, and wound up hanging the front speakers under the dash, and placing the rears in boxes on the back seat. Crude, but effective, and you don't wind up ruining an interior that can't be replaced.

    My Electra has stock front and back speakers hooked up to a stock AM/FM unit. It's enough, can't hear anything with the top down anyway. I find it easier to just listen to an iPod, or just pumping the iPod through the stock unit...but then again, I'm an old guy now, and loud stereos hold no truck with me anymore...:laugh:
