    Hello;
    I have updated myself on some past igniton problems here on the BB. Looking for some more help.
    I have no spark. I testing the coil and a relay, both are good.
    I had them checked out at the auto parts store
    I am running pertronix. Installed by Jim Weise. With the coil installed I am showing power. With a plug removed (No 2 Cyl)
    my wife turning the car over, no spark. But like every fourth or fifth time in doing this, when she turns the key towards the off position. There sometimes is a spark. Its like the car the wants to run then. Could my problems be with the pertronix, or could this be in my steering column?
    I had to tow her to a safe place last night. My Wife did the towing.
    She is a great women. She never hesitates to help with my (our) Buick.

    :confused:

    Yep, that's the symptoms of a failed trigger.. spark when the key is turned off.

    Quick and easy..

    Grab a points dist, and drop it in...

    I have a few cars that we put that Pertronix in, and just used as a trigger, for an MSD, that have been working just fine. I did actually see one fail, when used just as a trigger. Yours is the only one I can recall that we used it to actually trigger the coil.

    I since have went exclusively to a mag trigger, and an aftermarket box. Much more reliable situation..

    Could I somehow use the distributor in the car? You built this one up nice. Besides I don't have a spare Distributor to drop in.
    Can I take some steps backwards to fix what I have?
    Maybe that would require me to buy another pertronix to install in the distributor.
    Thanks
