Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about what is the best plug/ gap combo for my setup. Stock compression 72 motor, RV cam, S-Divider/spacer, headers, Pertronix HEI, 650 Demon. Thanx!

I gapped mine at .45 for my 70 GS 350 (10.25:1). It seems to have taken well. The HEI felt like it added 50 hp, but so did the shift kit. It doesnt' start any better though.

BTW...on my Regal with a 231 the tag says to gap it at .60.

I switched to Autolite #25 and converted my points to HEI with an accel coil. I am running with a .035 gap, and it seems to not ping as easy. I can run 91 octane for normal driving......

    .080?? Holy smoke!
I never went over .045" Isn't that gap only for smogger low compression engines?

    Maybe I should try it?????

I gapped mine at .055" with the petronics electronic ignition conversion. Go in steps at .010 at a time until you don't feel an increase in performance.

Don't gap too far, you will burn up your plug wires!!!:af:
