hey what kind of spacer works better on a buick 350?i got a double pumper 750 cfm on top of an ta intake and headers but inise its all stock and would like to know if a spacer would work to squeeze a couple of ft lbs of torque down low cause i got a 3 inch exhaust and im pretty sure i lost some torque and would like to gain it back.
From what I have read you could gain a few hp by using a spacer but you will lose about the same amount of torque. Try different sized spacers and see if you like it. You can use plywood to make them yourself, but seal the inside edge with silicone.
What I remember is the 4 hole spacers are for down low power, Open spacers are for more power up top.
hmm When I dyno'd my 350 cast iron intake, a spacer was not necessary. I believe the TA 350 piece is not that different than a stock piece, other than it is AL. Adding a spacer to a driver motor probably would make little to no difference. my .02
Re: hmm Stagedcoach71... i got some questions for you ! Not necessary.. do this mean you trayd (dyno'd) it with different spacers before making this "not necessary conclusion? o No: What is/was the build up on that engine?:bglasses: What was the dyno numbers?:TU: Lars :Comp:
