Hi guys. Have not posted in a while, but this is driving me crazy. Right now I have an Edelbrock carb on my 1967 Electra 430. I had a Rochester, which was replaced and I stupidly did not save the core to rebuild. I much prefer the performance of the Rochester, but I have had no luck finding a used or NOS one. Does anyone have advice on how I can find one, even if it's a used one that I can have rebuilt?

Contact Everyday Performance in the vendors section, Ken does great rebuilds and found an exact carb I needed and built it perfectly then shipped it out all in about 2 weeks.

I also suggest Mark "Carmantx" for sourcing and rebuilding Q jets.

There's another core on evilbay here...seller is in Virginia Beach:

I have a few of these cores I'm rebuilding, there was another 4MV carb used in the early part of 1967 which I have on my 430 now:

The early version had the old needle & seat where the fuel had to flow out of the seat top. The later 7027248 model used the improved needle & seat design with the fuel slots in the bottom.

Both versions have the fitting in the throttle body for the Air Injection Reactor hose connection at the back...mine's an original California car with the emissions package. If you don't have the AIR, then you can use a different throttle body or just plug the fitting.

They just brought in a 67 Wildcat to the "crush and smash" local junkyard with 430/ automatic today.(Friend of nephew works there and calls him and he calls me when old Buicks come in...Last week a 72 skylark that had been in the woods dor decades, filled with scrap iron, with not one salvageable thing REALLY was brought in) Looks unmolested, prior to being picked up by the CLAW of DEATH. Parts are cheap... if you get them before it gets crushed... Need carb still? PM me asap

Does it have any of the trim on it? I could use the hockey stick pieces.
