Please, please buy that car. I swear if I was close I would sell whatever I have to to get it and get rid of the electra in an instant. It would be nice to keep it so it doesnt get scrapped and it would stay in the Buick community. Ive never seen one... but I just fell in love.
It's not my cup of tea either, but you know that your Buick count is down right now...... You could have this on the cheap. His saying $700 says that 5 $100 bills would take it home to me. Big old unique looking car with a pretty nailhead in it.... Besides, the rear glass alone is worth $1200!
hahah I love how you put it as 5 $100 bills instead of $500, you've gotten good at changing the perception of prices to make it easier to convince yourself to buy things huh! ahhh i do the same. i would buy that in a heartbeat even though it's nothing like what i would imagine myself having, but for 5 $100 bills and a piece of gorgeous history like that?! go for it! i'm tempted to get it and have it shipped across the country!
Reading the seller and figuring out how to make an offer is the key to good buying. I just bought a 63 corvair cheap, sold it two weeks later for over double the money. Made the guy an offer on the car, then drove away. I didn't make it a mile before he called me back. I drove the corvair home and re listed it a couple days later.
At least you're in the right country; - I couldn't get that thing up here past Customs... Good thing I've already had a '60 and am currently looking for a nice '59, otherwise I would have done something stupid...
