Just figured I'd share a few pics of some of the owner of the dealership I work at's cars....He's got a pretty big collection, all Chevys, all stockish. The 10 series 4x4 is the first vehicle he ever took in on trade back in 1976 when he opened his first dealership. He's got one of every generation ZR1 and Z06, and a lot of C2 and C3 Vettes. The '64 Impala SS 327 is my favorite. He is the 2nd owner having got it in trade from the 1st and it is truly an all original car except for one repaint in the same color.....We get them in at the beginning of spring every year and again at the end of fall to get them ready for storage. And that, truly, is about all they get driven throughout the year. I'll post more as they come in and out of the dealership for their spring cleanings. Some are pretty impressive.
I know I'm in the minority...but I think the fleetside long beds look so much better than the stepside short beds.
Here's the interior and engine on the 10 series. It's behind ropes in front of our parts department currently....and yes we sell ammunition and gun parts, too......
My first car w3as a 1962 SS 327 with a 4 speed in NASSAU BLUE! Also had a red 64 SS /4 speed. You should try to get him into a 425/409 SS! ws
I believe he does have a 409 car out at his place, although I'm not sure what year, but I think I heard it was one of the early '65s with a 409 in that body style......he's got a lot more than I know about, that's for sure. Sometimes it's like a little mini car show here. I'm lucky in that he knows about all my cars because I drive them to work every day, so he lets me drive his. There's about 3 of us that are allowed behind the wheels of his collection.
A 65 409 Impala? Last year for that with a 427 coming up from the rear. Those 409s were baddd mamma jammas! Just dont over rev them. Dual AFBs let in a lotta air. ws
Yep, I've seen two '65 409s in my life. My uncle had a '63 Nova when he and my dad were in high school with a tunnel rammed 409 swapped in. Pops said it took him about a month to make the headers.....I remember seeing it once when I was a very small child. That car is why my F100 has a red metalflake steering wheel in it now. It had one and it stuck in my brain.
Oh no Roy is going to be looking now for a truck. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you Roy Dry southern California truck
Joe, what is that blue square body, 1977? I know it's earlier than 1980 and I don't think it's as early as 1976 but it could be. Just curious... Love the gold long bed (Lucas) and just about any square body
Oh Ive been looking for a while lol I think its a disease, This ones a Calif truck in Visalia supposedly 11 k orig miles I like that 74 square body Joe but Id go for a full top off Blazer of the same era
