Well, ya'll are always complaining that there arent any track stories here so i thought id share this with you

Last night was the buick race at redline raceway and it was the first time out for the skylark. Here's some background on the car: just had new rear wheel cylinders, brake lines, and all new front suspension. It's got a stock 350-2 and single exhaust on it. It's an a/c car so i suppose its got a pegleg 2.93 rear end in it? And about 200lbs of extra weight in it. blacker than black spark plugs too! The first run of the night was a 12.58@54 (1/8th mile track) and marty said he didnt even floor it and figured there was about another second to be had in the car. Second run, 12.40(a little more into it.) Third run, a 13.3(he actually spun through 1st gear!) 4th and last run before the bracket races was a 12.39, so we figure that dialing it in at 12.40 would be safe. Well, round one and the other racer red lights, and marty breaks out, running a 12.1! So he got the win light and we decide to lower the dial in to 12.0. Round 2 and he runs a 12.1 to the opponents 8.5(on an 8.10 dial in) so he advances again. Round three and we keep the dial in the same. Well, he broke out running an 11.80, coasting through the traps! It felt SO good to watch my car take gn's out! even though it wasnt faster.. oh well... So i guess thats 2gns killed and 1turbo regal that killed the lark.

Awsome kills, sorry about the breakout - such is the nature of bracket racing.
