Not exactly a Buick topic but the sky is aglow tonight with a solar flare and some northern lights.Never seen anything like it in all my many years.Beautiful.If you are at about the 44th parallel you may be able to catch it.Go have a look-you won't believe it.Likely will be gone by the time you go outside.Rod

Can't quite see it here in North Texas.....dangit!:)

I always wanted to see that. I'll have to come up there and check it out some day. Is certain times of the year better than others for viewing?

    wow

I just got home from taking the kids trick or treating and it was absolutely the most beautiful sky I've ever seen. It was a nice clear night and the sky was aglow. Sure wish I would have had my camera with me though. Can't see it from my house because of all these stupid trees! I'm really glad that I got to see such an awesome sight.

    Northern Ohio can see :)

You got me curious - I had to go peek. We have complete cloud cover....but the clouds look pink!! And its very light outside for this time of night.

The snow on the neighbor's roofs all looks pink too!

Got to see them really good about ... oh geez, I bet its been 15 years ago!! Was way out of town on a late night "fishing" trip (a story in itself). Anyway, northern lights were out like I'd never seen before or since. Filled the whole sky; horizon to horizon; for hours!. Just awesome.

didn't hear anything about solar flares or northern lights. wednesday morning i saw them going to work [gotta be there by 6 so it was still dark] and they were going pretty strong then. tried to see them wed. night, but it is colder than a witches nose out here, and couldnt stay out too long :ball: sometimes the sky is pretty amazing when you can see it!:TU:

ummmmm..... we do things a little faster up north you know! :):) I don't know why trick or treat was yesterday in our home town, but it's kind of cool since neighboring towns have their trick or treat tonight! Two days of mooching candy!!!! woooohooooo life is good

I think I'll take my camera tonight just in case I get to experience that beautiful sky two nights in a row!

I got it! Simpsons episode with Principal Skinner trying to impress his boss. Lit the kitchen on fire! Steamed hams. Gotta love it.

Rod-that is the best description of a solar flare I have ever read. What a poet!
