After receiving some 18 to 20 inches of this ridiculous white stuff since Dec 29/04, plus all the shovelling    This is what my back yard looks like today :af: :af: :af: There are TWO cars underneath all that snow, any guesses as to what they are???? Hint, they are both Buicks. Still got 3+ months of winter left, and nowhere to put any new snow  uzzled: BTW, I wasn't crouching down to take this pic, and I'm 6' 5".
No I don't like the stuff myself. We got 4" Christmas eve. It's the first snow here in 15 years and I don't care if I see it again. We went from 4" of snow last weekend to the high 70's this weekend.
You folks out west seem to be getting the worst of it so far. We're normally buried in it by now. The weather has been quite irregular here. Cold snap, rain the next day, snow, fog & rain.....very unusual weather. Bought a new snowblower this year, it's only been used once!
No snow here yet. We now officially have the LEAST amount of snowfall for the season so far, 2.8 inches.
When I left on Dec 27/04 to travel to MD, there was hardly any snow here, maybe 8 inches tops........then.... whammo... two big storms three days apart. Got home Dec 31/04, could barely get down my street, with my 4X4 truck :af: :af: Steve: I don't even have a snowblower, moved it all by shovel   Can't even buy a snowblower now, every store is sold out :ball: :ball: Clint: I don't even ski any more, but if I did, that would be about my style
Um..."no convertibles were harmed in the capturing of this image"  My 64 convert is still safely tucked in the garage. :beer
I hope your convert isnt under there, cause thats alot of stress to be putting on a top. Were supposed to get 8 inches from tonight into tomorrow but who knows these days. ou:
You could always move to wisconsin, no snow here yet that couldn't be driven through by a person with a learning permit.
Supposed to be getting anywhere from 2" to like 15"... weather people here are so dumb. Haven't had much but a dusting so far. I HATE it. Two weeks ago, we were at -15 at night, less than a week later it was 55 and sunny... no jacket kind of stuff... go figure But I just got my tires rotated, and put 400 pounds of water softener salt in the back of the F-150 (one wheel drive wonder I wonder what Ford was thinking making a 5-spd, RWD, V8 truck... nothing but a snow thrower). Hopefully I can make it
Would you beleive that I wanted to move the convert from my garage to the back yard? ou: It refused to start, however, first time I've ever been happy a car didn't start. It will remain inside for the rest of the winter Cody, my brother and I drove through Wisconsin last week, it's amazing that there was lots of open water. Felt like tossing a fishing line in at some spots.
No snow Upstate NY The last three years we have been burried just like Skybird there. This year, nothing. Several 1 to 5 inch falls, but mild weather in-between leaves us bare here. The snowblower's resting comfortably, as am I. Meanwhile it looks like California and Nevada were finally getting some much needed relief but in the form of the white stuff? What's going on?!?!. JohnD
well, here in central kansas,we ar getting ICE SOME LOCATIONS HAVE HAD NUMEROUS POWER OUTAGES, AND 2" OF ICE .THIS STUFF SUCKS!!!
Do you know that the Earthquake that triggered that Tsunami, has said to have thrown the earth off it's axis a couple of degree's. I heard that on the NBC news New Years Day, o No: anybody else? I wonder whats going to come from that.
detroit-windsor area, today - winter storm warning - 6-10" of snow . could be mixed with freezing rain/sleet. at christmas, we had 6" of snow, but rain & warm temperatures melted it all by new year's day.
Here's to Hoping... The days are too short as it is, and now we're being robbed another fraction of a second? The Universe owes me for lost time! I was hoping to haul my '65 Skylark (hardtop) down from my folks' property this weekend so I can start restoring it. While I only had to scramble around my attic chasing leaks from the Neverending Rain (in Ventura County), they were getting at least six inches of snow. Hopefully, it'll clear up enough for me to haul. Otherwise, I'll have to wait for another weekend. uh-oh... uzzled: If I remember right, it's parked outside my Dad's garage... ...without a windshield. :ball: I can only hope my Dad covered that sucker up in time.
