This is what Jeff Strube checked on for me this past weekend. I'm meeting the sellers 1/2 way to pick it up (they're driving it and I'll load it up on a trailer). They purchased the car in 1990 and drove it occasionally (68k on the clock). The only things not original are the front bumper and paint job. They re-did the interior, and it will have the original riv wheels on it when I pick it up. I'm planning on some bigger wheels and a cd player...then just driving it. What do y'all think?
Love it! Hope you stick around and tell us all about your growing love for Rivieras! 1972 is my second favorite year.
Interior looks like they follwed the original template, and the bumper mod is sort of a nod to the Camaros of that era. So if it runs well and doesn't emabarrasss you when you drive it, looks like a killer deal! I wish I were having that much fun with my Riv... :beer
Sweet....And that white paint won't show the road salt, either....wait a minute, you're in Texas.ou: My Riv has a CD player in it that the previous owner installed in teh late 80s. It skips real bad over smaller bumps than you would think should make it skip, but then again it was likely one of the first models of aftermarket CD players for cars....and it's old. Have fun, Nick
Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to it. I actually like the chopped front bumper. It was originally copper, so I'd like to get it back to that color someday.
