Yikes.. record high national average for regular eclipsed today.. 4.17 gallon.

Curious on how the high gas prices will be affecting your cruising, racing, event plans..

Me?.. I'm shopping for a Honda Accord to parts run in, since the Suburbans are getting parked, and will be putting off my return to the track for another year. Parts shortages affecting production in the shop were making that iffy already... silly high gas prices are the nail in the coffin for my racing this year.. Filling up the Motorhome a couple times would kill the racing budget for the weekend.

    Man, this sucks..

We take a little trip, towing a camper about 200 miles each way twice a year and this will be tough this year. It will hurt but the trip is worth it, W.va. mountains. that will be a 300$ gas trip if it stays to 5$ gallon which I expect by June.

The track isn't too far from me but I bet once or twice will be about it.
oil at 124.54 as of now I paid 4.37 for premium on Saturday now the regular is 4.17, premium has to be at 5 already. NE Ohio area

It is more than double that price where I live. But that will not stop any plans with the Buick.
I have saved a lot of gas and money working from home. And all events have been cancelled for two summers now, so not many miles there.

We are about .25c away from a no go to the Nationals :(. We will be racing at a track 20 miles from the house this summer. We will also be going to the Beaver Springs BOP event as of now.
I expect to see $6.00 diesel prices here in Maine
Only need about 60-70 cents more to hit it..
$1550+ to top off the house oil tanks yesterday, up another. 20 today...
    Good luck everyone.
Converting the main house to wood heat for next year..

Hopefully not... but since you kinda mentioned it, let's not go into the why.. we all know the reasons.. let's just focus the discussion on how it affects us, our cars, and the hobby.

    Thanks

Yea, I just raised the price of Diesel to 4.49 from 4.29 at my station here in Atwood , Kansas a minute ago, some people want to kill me right now, boy this really sucks owning a gas station in this climate. And it's not over with yet my wholesale price for Diesel is 5.09 and gas is 4.o9 now! Yikes! Larry.

Not going to let the gas prices stop me, and yes it will hurt the pocket book but life is to short not to enjoy our hobby.
