Hey everyone, newbie here checking in. I just picked up a really straight (albeit a little rust on the quarter panels by the vinyl ) 72 Skylark Custom. It has a 350/4 with a th350 behind it. This is my first old car and first ever with a carb... I'm actually an import guy (VW) but have always been a fan of muscle cars. Now that I have one, I can't get a good night of sleep.:Brow:
Welcome! It looks in pretty nice shape from your avatar.:TU: The sickness' only cure is more cars, and power.
ATX Welcome aboard! I wouldn't call your car a "Muscle Car" yet! What it is, is a good candidate to morph into a true muscle car. If you have the bucks and devotion. Drop a Big Block in her, or build that 350 and then you'll have a "Muscle Car"! Watch out 'cause this site is an addiction, if your a true devotee you can accomplish your goal! Do some research on this site, don't be afraid to ask questions you'll find everyone here very friendly and willing to help you out:TU:
Thanks for the support guys, I'm sure I will learn a lot here. Yeah, the car isn't very "muscle" right now... but the platform sure is right!:Brow: Right now it has a TA intake and long tube headers into 2.5 inch 2 chamber flows. It sounds great, but can't back it up. My VW whoops up on it really bad! (14.1 @101) The plan right now is to get it running right and get the small stuff taken care of. After that I can dream about the posi rear, disk brakes, and 455!:beer
I've seen you've already found this place, this site has lots of good info! Maybe next time we run, it can be Lark vs. Lark, instead of Lark vs. veedub.
