Check it out. Floor welded in. Electra tilt wheel in. Almost completely wired. Yeah, it'll be ugly..........but so what.
Heres another shot. The work to get this far isn't evident by appearence. Theres major components from four cars to get this far. Minor parts bring that up to six or seven cars rolled into one. Sheese, I need my head examined. :eek2:
The four door donated the front floorpan, a good pit of wiring, a few suspension parts, all the A/C stuff, and tons of odds and ends. The body and frame are from Arizona, otherwise its largley the yellow convertible that its registered as. The yellow car is responsible for 95% of the interior, the top and mechanism, 75% of the wiring, engine, tranny, rear end, steering box, center link, tie rods, hood, doors decklid, bumpers, glass, etc.
Dan, Good work.. Sounds like something Pat and I would own... 2 things from this car, frame from that, hood from that........etc............ :Smarty: LOL Dustin
Look closer. Its a Coors beer can serving as a bolt holder. I cut the top of the can off and put all the top pump bolts and bushings in it.
Wildcat Man Dan, I guess you told me about this Wildcat at Salem, great to see some pics. Calling all Wildcat folks, need a right rear quarter for a '70 Convertible that was hit in the 'b' pillar area, available some where on the east coast/Buffalo area, would be best, but trying to save a southern car that my brother has, and wants to fix and keep. His kids riding in old convertible Buick in the summer in NY, will make them want to have an old Buick convt forever, and probably their Mom too! Sooner we find the parts, a half a chance to make it to Batavia with it! thanks!
Figures....I got an NOS Left quarter for a 70 Wildcat. Bummer. I got a right quarter of a 69 four door, but I'm guessing since its the B pillar area that would be no help. Post pics of the damage and I'll search the swap meets this spring.
Very good progression and very nice work! It may not be one color but at least it looks solid-that is a big factor. Keep us updated ever so now and then! :TU:
Exactly.....Just think how aswsome its going to be driving around with the top down overhead, and a BBB underfoot :3gears: :3gears: :beer I really admire you guys who have the skills and 'nads to just dive right in, rip stuff apart, and weld it all back together again. .....I can do the "Rip stuff apart" part pretty well uzzled:
