I just got my VIN research report from Sloan...pretty cool!:Brow:
At the bottom of the microfilm information sheet it has

    Ignition
    5 XXX

    and

    Trunk
    2 XXX

    What's that about? :Do No:

    Hi Bill -

It's your key codes. The codes have something to do with the position of the tumblers inside the lock.

You can give this information to any competent locksmith and they can cut you a key for either lock.

    What was the dealer info?

What were the "exact" numbers that those X's represent in your post?

    codes

I doubt it matters Mike, very little of the original stuff is still there!according to Sloan the car had a tilt wheel which is long gone. I doubt the "restorer" bothered to change the locks to keep it original!:blast:

    Bill,

I have some of the original paperwork for my GS that I display at shows and I made sure that I covered the key codes. My locks are original and you never know who may be lurking around your house after a show...:puzzled:
