    Dear friends,

I have a '76 Buick Skylark with a '78 LeSabre engine, that has* Hooker Comp headers. I am in dire need of an exhaust system for it, so I can get it road worthy, but I cannot seem to find a dealer that sells an exhaust system for the setup I have. Anyone know of a dealer that does, or am I going to go to a custom exhaust shop to get this done?

*denotes that headers are not quite on, and still reside in the trunk for now.

I would have someone build up the exhaust for you
Its not expensive at all in comparison to many jobs people outsource to have done to their cars. Such as brake jobs , Major tune ups etc.. I can bend pipe because im an electrician and am very familiar with how to "off set" "saddle" ..etc. I still had to have someone do it for me. Besides welding beats out guillitine clamps any day..Especially if you live in a Hot n Humid Summer time area such as Florida or the EAst coast durring summer.
I wouldn't even bother trying to make custom pipes for yourself unless you have a bender. My nieghbor uses the magnaflow kit with his hookers. He had to have a shop fabricate head pipes from the headers to the start of the kits pipes. they even installed his kit w/ x-pipe for under $400 bux since he had already purchased his parts before hand..
I bought my kit and mufflers from the shop that did my work & i paid $600 for the whole deal. 2.5 inch [no balance pipe] 2 flowmasters.
I had my exhaust built with the future in mind too.
I had them use 3 inch pipe to the flowmasters and then i converted to 2.5 inch to the rear from 3 inch reducers off the trailing edge of the mufflers.
I plan to switch to 3inch exhaust for a big block someday.
