   HI, I recently got a gear set for free from my cousin. its a 3:73 set out of his 04 silverado. I think this will fit in my stock rear end 1972 Buick Skylark....i could be wrong.

   Your 72 stock rear would be an 8.5. Measure the ring gear diameter of your Silverado ring gear, and see if it is 8.5". That's the first thing I would do.
