    Morning all.

I’m wondering if there is a way to tighten my drivers side side view mirror. The mirror is tight to the door, but is very loose at the adjustment “socket” area. Ive looked through on here & didn’t see anything.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

I'm assuming you have a manual mirror but I think the remotes work the same way. The only way to fix that is to remove the glass (easier said than done w/o breaking it but replacements are avail.). There's basically a piece if spring steel that's peened in place in 3 places that holds the socket tight against the housing and likely one of those attachments has come undone. It can be (very carefully) drilled and tapped to use a screw instead of the peening but there's very little metal to work with. IIRC it takes a #4 machine screw but I could be mistaken there. There is a thread about it somewhere on here. I think @buick64203 may have created the thread. I can get some pics later if you need.
