Siberian Front

    Today we got four inches of snow and at 5:00 pm it started to rain lightly. Little snowblower had to work it heart out!!

    Haven't had that problem in ages; they start putting methyl hydrate in the fuels around here in September. The Diesel changes to winter fuel then too, and that's good to about -30C (I think) before it starts to gel.
    To my ancestors, the words "Siberian front" would conjure up terror, as in being sent to Siberia to fight. I have a few great uncles who didn't make it back from Stalingrad, which wasn't in Siberia, but it might as well have been for how cold it got.

    Everybody better put some DRY GAS in your cars if outside. I don’t think PGH. has had this cold since 1990. -50 in Minnesota. We are screwed.

    But what’s coming will kill Lyme ticks off Deer. 60-70 hours -10.
