Here is a picture of my '55- :Brow: It's almost done! The black bumper is temporary--'cause chrome plating is expensive. The color isn't really that light, I brightened the picture on my computer, and she looks a little washed out. (Poor lighting) How's about sharing pictures of your car, even "in progress" shots. I think they are inspirational! :bglasses: ---Zach.

I've got a '60 LeSabre and just got another off of eBay for parts and maybe later restore also. The black one is my original and the red one is the parts car.

58sled, under where you type your post there is a box that says "aditional options" and in that box there's another box that says "Attach Files" , click "manage attachments" once you click that it will bring up another page that has a box in it that says "upload file" and in that box there is a open field and by that there is a button that says browse, click that and it will bring up "my documents" find the picture on your computor, highlight it and click open, that will close out the "My Documents" page and will put the location of the picture in that field that was blank, then click the "upload" button on the right and it will move the picture to "current attatchments", you can close that window and then finish typing your post. Also the attachment can't be over 159.8KB and has to be in one of these extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip :Comp:

Thanks, Tom! I finished the paint on the lower right side of the car today, and shot another coat of black on the lower left side while I was at it. Now I just need to put all the side moulding back on. :eek2: -Work,work,work.... Zach.

How are you going to do the flamethrowers? I'm doing them on mine also, I'm doing an injected version that doesn't cut off the engine coil so it's easier on the engine. I've got the diagrams if you want them

I would like to see those plans for the flame throwers. I dont have a method in mind yet but that way sounds much safer than the old skool way. Can you email them to me? gguidroz1@cox.net Thanks .........Gary

    Re: Flame Throwers

    Hey Guys'

I don't know if it is in the Jeg's or Summit Catalog, but the have a Kit that you can buy. It comes complete and is fueled by one of those Burns-o-matic propane tanks. No more of those Ford Model A Coils packed in Bee's Wax. It seems like a pretty safe System.

most people don't use propane, it burns to clean, you can't see the flames as much,it's more blue. gasoline does good, it burns yellowish orange. I'm going to use kerosene it gives the rolling red /orange flames

Here is a new picture with more stuff installed. I'm hunting down clips for the side trim now. Man, these things have enough stainless steel on them for 20 place settings of silverware! ---Zach

I'd like to add a picture of three of my toys. Unfortunately it's easier to buy em than to fix em :Dou:

69 225 LTD out of the pic will be the first to get a full paint job.

I like the Re-location of the Power antenna to the right rear quarter panel. Nice Touch! Check in with Ken Reeves at WheatbeltBuick to the Stainless.

Here is my 56. I've got all of the chrome and stainless off right now, had to cut almost the whole rear drivers side quarter panel off and make a brand new piece. It's almost ready for paint, just have to finish up some minor body work. Will continue to post updates on the progress.

Well, Tom, I have had this car for 10 years, and the fellow that owned it before me was a body man, and did such a nice job on "frenching" that antenna into the right rear fender, I decided to leave it that way. In fact, I welded a patch over the hole in the driver's fender, where the antenna would normally go. The guy that owned it before me (whom I never met-long story) also "shaved" the rear door handles, and the trunk lid. He also "shaved" all the emblems, and filled the holes. I put the handles back on, because I'm proud of the fact that my car is a four door hardtop! I almost bought a '55 Special four door hardtop when I lived in Jacksonville Fla., 12 years ago. Luckily, things didn't work out, because that car was a rust bucket. The '55 I have now was built in the Atlanta plant, in Doraville, if I'm not mistaken. I also believe that it has spent it's life in the Atlanta area, because other than the floor pans, and the bottom of the spare tire well, she has no rust to speak of. Solid fenders and doors, with only small "pinhole" rust in a couple of places on the rocker panels, which I have fixed. I have rebuilt the engine myself (with the exception of machine work), and I rebuilt the Dynaflow too, and did all my own glass installation, as well as paint and body work. I am a mechanic, and have been a Mercedes specialist for ten years now, but never thought much about trying to paint the car,but decided to give it a try. Now, I just need to finish all the other stuff. ---Zach

Well, here is a pic of my 56 Special. Got a long way to go, especially for the first project i have ever done :) But, what a deal, paid $200 for it at an auction, and then drove it home. All the parts for the 322 seem to be orginal with 40206 miles. From what i know, i am the third owner, with the first 2 being father and son, so i actually got some history of what the car has been through over the years. Just want you all to know that I have totally enjoyed this site so far.
