Should this be on the BPG screen?

I see we now have a message that our BPG forum is down for maintenance, and are displaying a direct link to our section here on V8. Wonder if that is such a good idea... why bring any unwanted attention here? Who's to say our hacker "friends" won't decide to accept the invitation? I think everyone on the BPG forums is aware of V8 and will come here if they wish. jmho:Do No:

Sorry Dave...I'm sure there are people out there that don't know about V8. I wanted to make sure people knew there was somewhere else to get info.

I can't seem to do anything to please everyone with this deal. I'm beyond frustrated.

..........That, and pretty much everyone will come over here anyways. I feel for you Adam..... seems like the second you get it up, they know about it. They have to have some sort of "tracker" to let them know when it's up or not.
Oh...BTW.... making a few pretty good runs tonight. What was it 14.30's?

Adam, in no way shape or form was this meant as a criticism. But it was the first thing that came to mind when I tried our club site again. Maybe my concerns don't have any merit, I don't know. Just thought it was worth mentioning. You've gone way above the call of duty in trying to thwart those b***holes that keep hacking the site. I wish I had the know-how to help, but that's just not the case. I don't know what the solution is. Leave the site down for awhile and hope they go away? Consult with a professional? Beats the heck out of me. There has to be an answer out there somewhere.

Anyway, go enjoy the weekend, forget about this for a few days. Maybe someone at NTR will offer some solutions.

No biggie Dave...I know you had good intentions. I think the consensus has been to make the move to a new hosting company. Hostrocket seems to be the brunt of quite a few situations strikingly similar to ours in the last month or so.

Adam, there are a couple boating and motorcycle sites I frequent that are getting hammered due to hostrocket... they have more holes than a colender it seems... time to bail.. I really feel for ya here..

Mike Savino is getting us some space to host the websites. We met up today and talked for a while about how fast we can the forums back up. It looks like it may take about another week to get things back on track. I figured that's cool - what's another week?

Sounds like a good plan. Taking your time is always best. I would also keep your current host in the dark while you move. Don't give them any idea your about to leave until the new site is up and tested.

Would be shocked at how unhelpful they become when they find out your switching host. Even when its their fault.

Get lots of good pics for us at the Nats. Its the reason I m not there, best to take things slow and not rush so the car gets done right the first time.
Instead of 3rd-4th which is my usual.
