I am trying to install my console and floor shifter for a 72 Lark with column shift t400. The shifter I bought a BG does not fit exactly. The shifter I have has the detent as part of the main piece that bolts to the floor. It is 10.5 inches long and has a front bracket that is bolted to the main body. The shifter that is shown for a 72 car in my tech manual shows a different shifter body. It has a bolt on detent piece and appears to be taller at the nose,but shorter in overall length. I found a club member that has a shifter but but I want to get the correct one. Any input will be really helpful. Ken
