I think I may have located my missing Auto shift linkages to convert to floor shift. I have a lead on a parts 1968 Riviera with a floor shifter. Anybody know if the linkages are the same? (2 rod type) here's a pic of the linkages and the interior with the seats and console mounted.

Remember the Riv. still has an X frame whereas the Cat has a perimeter frame.

That does not bode well. I will see the car early next week

Riv shifter is a little different. One rod then a arm goes through the floor and then a rod to the trans.

I see both shifter setups and the Riv floor shifter has virtually nothing in common with the Wildcat. Short of selling my soul, I can't find these linkages anywhere. I would hate to resort to a BM or Hurst shifter as the modification to use the stock console would be a problem. The stock shifter also acts as the main mounting point for the console. Cable shift is a possibility, but I would have to heavily modify a Skylark cable kit since nothing (as usual) is available for Wildcats.

Keep at it, you'll figure it out..In a lot of cases using the KISS principal comes into play. Try not to over think it & I'm sure you'll come up with a solution!!!! You'll only need it to shift a trans. through it's nec. motions.

My stock shifter is so sloppy I have been considering replacing it with a aftermarket unit but somehow modifying it to look like the stock unit. I have a B&M Ratchet shifter. a Pro stick and a Cheetah to play with.
