    Hi All,

So I got a "new" 350 to drop into my '70 skylark that blew up her engine. It's a '69 350 with a TH350 attached, both were rebuilt some time ago. The TH350 with shift kit attached to a Hurst ratchet shifter in the car still attached to the blown 350 was rebuilt about 2 years ago. My question is, do you think it would be easier to drop the 'new' 350 with its paired TH350 in the car and re-hook up the shifter, or leave the current newer-rebuild TH350 and shifter in the car now and drop in just the engine and attach it to the TH350?

I would leave the good rebuilt trans in place; I NEVER pull the engine & trans together on anything but a junker. Bruce Roe
