I'm looking for the shift boot retaining ring for a 70, 71 or 72 Skylark. I have attempted to locate someone who could make one for me but from what i hear its going to be a difficult task so if someone out there could help me out i would greatly appreciate it,

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Guys,
If someone will send me one of their originals, I will make a repro for Mark Smith and Dan Richter. I will also make a free one for the person that loans me their original. After that I will be out of the shifter boot retaining ring business.

    PS. Mark,
I have a few questions about your buildsheet, so I left my numbers on your answering machine. When you get a chance call me, so I can finish it up. Thanks.

Thanks Duane I definitly appreciate your dedication but please don't feel obligated there is a ring #7A13 for 60's Chevy offered by YO that has possibilities only question is if it can be formed to where it will work.

    Original will not be changed?

Duane I have mine off during our resto of our x. I will send you ours if there are no others.

    Duane -

Isn't there a difference between console and non-console?

If you want mine, just say the word.

Man, I can't believe it's been a year and a half and I still haven't put mine back on yet :Dou:

Ours is the type that came with the consolette.

    Guys,
I think a local friend on mine has one, so I may not need to borrow Jim's part after all.

Once I get the part I will make an aluminum repro for Mark Smith, Dan Richter, and Mark Reeves (I forgot he asked for one until he REMINDED me about it.) After that I will be out of the shifter boot retaining ring business.
