No, not my wife, my Tomahawk. My wife always makes noise. SPX intake picked up over 60 horsepower and almost 60 lbs ft of torque from the SP2. Made 908hp and 800tq this time around. So, after two years since it's brief time in my engine bay, it's back together, back in the car, and going to the track this Sunday...weather permitting. Wheelie bars will be set way down and I'll be foot braking it for the first several passes. I didn't show this beast enough respect last time out and cost myself a bunch of time and a pile of cash when it tried to leave the Earth's gravitational pull, only to come down hard enough to smash the headers to oblivion.
I estimate the first run will be a 8.50 !*E-Town.........8.40*Atco.......8.90*Island Dragway Then the Big Man will get brave, set the trans brake and rip off his first ever 7.99 !!!!!!! :3gears: After that, they'll be no livin' with him anymore as he HECKLES us poor slower folks. :bla:
That is great to hear Doug. Will be great to see it running again.Good luck with the new combo. Tommy.
In the first place...my 2800lb behemoth, with all the smooth and shapely body lines of a cinderblock, doesn't have enough power to go 7.99. Maybe Frank wants to lend me his motor for a weekend and we'll see if 1040hp can get me into the 7s. In the second place, Bruce, you probably still have a crowbar laying around from when they had to pry your head out from under your slick, back when you thought your head would do a better job than a standard issue wheel chock at keeping your car from rolling off the trailer. Of course, you were incorrect. You wound up squishing your head in the failed "head as a chock" experiment.
