My 2 door skylark has a rusted passenger front floor board. I have a 4 door car that is being parted and nearly ready for the crusher. Can I use the floor board from the 4 door ? I'm guessing it's shorter but my rust holes are forward and their may be enough metal to use . Was wondering if anybody has done this in the past. Also the hump has a hole in it from the poor attempt of putting a B and M shifter there. Can I use that hump?

Thanks and I appreciate any advice and thoughts.

The rear section of the 4 door doesn't even come close to working for a 2 door: Different bracing attached from the frame to the pan in the rear two locations. (You have to drill out ALL the spot welds to remove the pan... ALL of them...)Different shape upturn on the floor pan to rear seat mount. Different rear seat mounting locations and style of mounts (only 1 of the seat bottom hook retainers, and it is centered, as the 2 door has two hook retainers). The rear door structural front mount (B pillar) interferes with removal of the pan itself, but I guess that it would simply be cut out, in that the 4 door IS giving up its life, all in all.
I didn't even measure the difference in length, but I can ASSUME it would be different, having a different wheelbase. All said, It would be less labor intensive and easier overall to get a complete floor pan for a CHEVELLE of the same year, and cut the mounts for seat belts and seats from the donor car. If the donor is the only sample for correctness, TAKE PLENTY of pictures :kodak:with a known reference scale (ruler) and PRINT THEM first,:Dou: before starting the chop...
