checked it out a while back.

windshield-not attatched, and broken, just resting there.
    Trans doesn't shift outta first,
owner says all original, had performer intake, and runs like, ahem, poo.
interior is about a 1 out of ten.
original paint-yup, but it should have been re painted fifteen years ago.
The guy said, well i can pull this motor and sell that alone for 1500 bucks, it's all original, I laughed, wished him luck, and said i wouldn't have payed more than 400 bucks for it, if i was even interested after checking it out.

    Brendan,

Everyone back east wouldn't have been able to look past the sheetmetal without tin worm. One man's junk...

It's an interesting thing, this dealing with rust. You east coast guys see treasure in what I would walk past, saying, "What a rust bucket!". The puzzler to me with the ad, though, is something different:

Buick, riviera, chevy, coupe de ville, classic, old school, malibu, project car

Does this guy have a clue? He's mixing in Chevy and Cadillac with the car.

AND, BTW, San Francisco/the Bay Area in general is just as big a rust generator as the east coast, believe it or not.

He's using those "key words" to attract people that normally wouldn't see the ad for his Buick in their normal searches. Honestly, compared to the people around here, his list is short...

OK V-8 People: I saw this car Friday on my way home. It's not too happy. The seller will probably cry uncle and sell it for what ever it will bring across the scales after jacking around.......after about 6 months! Mitch

Body looks great to me. If you think that's rust then you must have never been to the northeast. That's what our cars look like AFTER the body work is done. Paint is a given on any old car. I personally like to get a car that needs paint because it shows that the seller isn't trying to hide anything.

If you honestly think that this car is a good example of a rust bucket than I have some pics that would make your head explode.

All that being said, I don't really care for Rivieras
