Serious fab work......pretty amazing.

    Got this in the shop today. Went out to get into it and looks just like a regular truck. Hit the open button and imagine my surprise! Very cool and amazing fabrication: dropped floor, cut and dropped frame rail. The platform comes out and down so they just roll their wheelchair onto the platform, then hit a button and it raises it up and slides it over behind the wheel. Can't imagine how long the prototype took to figure out.

    That's a cool piece of engineering! And for a good cause to boot.

    I saw one of those a few years ago at the plaza, I couldn’t figure out what the hell I was looking at:eek:
    Yes that’s quite an engineering feat, probably pricey too

    That took a lot of design work. It’s amazing what they come out with these days.

    A great adaption, but I sure hope that the operator never opens that door when too close to another parked vehicle!

    Amazing anything that gives the handicapped more independence is good!
