Hi guys, I'm looking for a series 3 posi for my skylark project. Any hoarders have one they would be willing to sell.

So you are looking for a used one? Just making sure you know you can buy one new out of the Jegs or Sumitt catalogs. Brian Trick, and Monzaz might have some used ones for you.

Your 1972 should have an 8.5 10 bolt. If you haven't owned the car since new, you might want to confirm that.

How about an Eaton? That's what I have in my car.

Check with Brian and Jim (Monzaz). They may be able to save you money. I remember Jim saying at one point that Yukon sold a Posi carrier that was just as good as the Eaton, but cheaper.

The good used one that came in the GM cars back then was casting #410408N
They pop up for sale occasionally. Otherwise there are plenty of new options. Eaton,Yukon, etc. The Tru Trac is also a great unit. Helical gear design that takes plenty of abuse and no clutches or cones to wear out.
