Selling One of My Pontiacs

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

I plan to sell a couple of cars and this is the first one I'm listing. I've owned it for about 13 years and it's a nice clean car with no issues. I've always considered this to be the best looking 4th gen F-body ever made and I never thought I'd sell it but it's time to find it a new home. There were 2,000 25th Anniversary Trans Ams built and all had an automatic transmission except for 128 that had a 6-speed like this one. This car has been well maintained, never driven in the rain (not even one time) and is not modified.

After this car sells I'll probably sell a '72 Buick next.

Awesome ride Gary! I have one of the autos with 23k on it. I'd have to say its almost as much fun as my WS6!

Good Luck with the sale! :beer

Small world! I have the 25th T/A and also a WS6 (1 of the 175 '99 Formula WS6 cars). They are both fun and I prefer the appearance of the 25th T/A. Those cars just look so classy to me. My WS6 is not nearly as nice as the 25th T/A but because it is so nice and clean I noticed that I just don't drive it much. I've got too many cars and I just really need to sell a couple of them. I hope I can find someone that can appreciate and enjoy this car.

    Here is the WS6.

Thanks Paul. I've tried hard to take good care of this car and hope that someone can appreciate that fact.

Yes, 482 1997 Firebird Formula coupes were produced.

the 482 breaks down like this:

    by transmission:
    288 M6 (28 of these had the 1LE package)
    194 Automatics

    by color:
    Arctic White = 81 (46 manual, 35 auto)
    Black = 204 (127 manual, 77 auto)
    Dark Green = 49 (35 manual, 14 auto)
    Bright Red = 148 (80 manual, 68 auto)

    304 with T-tops (167 manual, 137 auto)
    178 hardtop (121 manual, 57 auto)

If you have the VIN I can also tell you more detail about YOUR car, like day it was built and how many were built with its exact combination of options.

If you don't have the VIN, do you remember what color interior, cloth or leather, CD or Cassette?

First, let me say that you have a beautiful 25th T/A! One of the cleanest I've ever seen. Sold mine last year - it was one of the rare hardtops, which I feel to be the best looking of all of them. Not quite as rare as yours, but 1 0f 338 I believe. Secondly, I would hold onto it for awhile if possible. They're only now beginning to appreciate in value. I wish you luck on getting that price, as few have been able to get there. I've seen some of the uber low mileage convertibles stall at 15k or so. They're just not there yet, but in a few years it's going to be game on for these.

Amazing car! A guy here at work just told me that when he bought his 25th Anny car he paid $2500 over sticker after spotting it on the back lot and regrets selling it to buy his big block Corvette. Anyway, he tried to order a stick car and couldn't get it done. Did this car sell or should I pass your info on? He appeared to be serious as he said he regrets it more than any other that he has sold....

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

The car is still sitting in my garage. The only place it has been listed is that single eBay ad. While on eBay it had 1,002 views, 37 watchers but no buyer. I've had 2 of the 128 6-speed cars and both cars were sold new for $5,000 over the sticker price. The car is an enjoyable and fun car but paying nearly $30k before taxes in 1994 for a Trans Am seems crazy but apparently many people paid up to get one of them, especially the 6-speeds. I have no idea why there were so few of the 6-speeds made.

If your friend is interested feel free to have him contact me, my direct email is buquick@comcast.net I've enjoyed this car as I wanted but tried to maintain it well enough that it would look like a car with even less miles. I've just got too many cars and too many competing priorities so I promised my wife I'd sell a couple of them. Since I've driven this so little in the last few years it seemed like the logical choice. I'm really hoping to find someone to that will appreciate and enjoy it. Kyle if your friend buys it, I'll send you a finders fee as a token of my appreciation for your assistance.

Also, if your friend liked his 25th Trans Am that had the automatic transmission, he will love the 6-speed car. :)

We have five '72 Buicks and honestly that's too many so at least one needs a new home. Which one? That's TBD.

Thanks. I haven't updated the little website in over 10 years so the more recent cars are not shown such as: '68 SS396 Nova, '68 L79 Nova, '70 Dodge Challenger T/A, '69 Chevelle SS396 sedan, '70 GS Stage 1 "Kokomo", '70 GTO Judge (partially completed), and a '72 GS455 convertible. Might not seem like many cars in a 10 year period but all were rough cars that received a complete rotisserie restoration and all the work was completed by one old guy. Until 5 years ago he also had a full time job as a mechanic as well. His current project is a '69 COPO Chevelle and the next car to start will be a '69 GTO. He's 67 years old and still cranking them out. He's probably out in his garage working on the Chevelle right now :)

    Gary,

I must apologize for breaking a rule here and commenting on a for sale thread. If it is an issue please let me know, I'll gladly delete my post.

But I just had to tell you, that is a STUNNING example of a 4th gen F-body! Worth every penny.

And also, I made a special stop on the way home just to buy a lotto ticket (which I dont normally do) just because you said there is a 72 on its way out. And in the 1 in 5 chance it's the one you know I'm talking about, I needed the 1 in hundreds of millions of chances to win enough to buy it...

Good luck with the sale of the gorgeous firebird!
