Funny this gets brought back up to the top. Im actually working in it right now. Ordered a new exhaust system for it last week. I wound up destroying what little remained of the exhaust it came with. The pipe caught the trailer when I was backing it off and bent up one pipe into a pretzel! :spank: Just waiting on the head pipes to be delivered. Car is cleaned out and vacuumed. A good scrubbing is next- I hate sitting in filth! All that's left is to find an el cheapo BB fan shroud for it, give it a good tune up and go through the brakes. On initial inspection, the brakes don't look too bad. Floors are remarkably solid as is the trunk. I have a set of used doggies for it and a pair of 15" steel wheels to match the fronts. Its going to look so cool with doggees on it. Im really considering driving this to Ohio next year. I want to take first place in the ratty GS/ project car division.
FWIW.... If TPIR, its almost a perfect fit... paint it black if the fiberglass look bugs you. Ive had a lot of guys at shows scratchin' their heads about "what it is"... ws
Jason, I have a 72 BB shroud that has a chunk missing from it due to damage. If interested, I could bring it to BG. Larry
I still have that 70 shroud from my Aquamist car I promised you. Im hoping that I can throw it in someone's trailer and give it to you at BG. Maybe since you'll have an extra repro 70 shroud afterwards, we can trade?
Just wanted to bring this to the top with an update for Brian on the 69 GS- Guy called me back after months! I got home today and Jen tells me some guy called with a 69 GS and told her he has to "get rid of" his Buick and asked if I was still interested in it. Odd terminology....get rid of.
