    Hello to everyone on this board;
    My name is Dave, I am new to this board but I was recomended to visit this board by several members of the 67-72 Chevy and GMC truck board, they told me if I had a question about a classic Buick this was the place to go.
    Anyway my Uncle and myself are in the process of restoring a 70 GSX, we have most of it complete bus stilll have a few things to get finished up.
    Right now we are trying to finish up the interior. We have ordered the original covers for the seats and new foam but the only parts we can't find are the plastic "sleeves'" I call them that the headrest slides into. Do they reproduce these parts or does anyone have some they would be willing to sell me? I do have 1 good one but the other 3 are too broken to reuse.
    If anyone has any suggestions or has any for sale please let me know soon as we are trying to get the seats done in the next couple weeks so as soon as the weather breaks we can take her out.
    thanks Dave (davemt36@hotmail.com) :TU:

    I got mine on eBay but I think Year one and Original parts have them as well.

    I ordered a pair for mine from Ames Performance, they looked just like the ones Year One sells, but they fit VERY tight and that would have made all the surface imperfections show through. One started to rip it was so tight trying to slip it on. I sent the covers back and dropped the headrests off at an upholstery shop.........he's going to put a thin layer of padding under his custom made covers that will look smoother.

    If yours are molded like mine are, another option would be to send them to a place like Just Dashes maybe they can re-mold them but my bet is that would be very expensive if they could even do it. :bglasses:

    I think you're looking for the white plastic inserts that are installed into the seat frame.
    The steel arms from the headrest insert into these, after the covering & latches are installed.
    Looked myself a couple years ago, didn't have any luck. Keep an eye on "Parts for Sale" or E-bay.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

    He needs the plastic sleeves that are screwed to the seat frame and the headrest posts slide into them. I do not think those are being reproduced.
    Check www.opgi.com and www.nationalpartsdepot.com

    If they don't have them, let me know. I may have some spares.
    Email me directly with your results at GStage1@buickperformance.com

    Sorry dave, I misread your post........for some reason I thought you were talking about the leather covers. I know what sleeves you are talking about..........I haven't seen those anywhere, if GSstage1 has a pair you'd better take his, I don't think you'll find those anywhere else. :bglasses:
