3 questions for anyone that would like to help a novice. I own a 1969 Skylark Custom.

    1. I am getting ready to replace my seat covers. The car was originally a bench seat and was switched out to buckets that I believe were out of a -69 Olds Cutlass. will my replacement covers(buying through yearOne) have holes for headrests or do they have to be cut in(optional)?

    2. I am under the assumption that the only difference between the seats between models is the vinyl grain/design. Does the same go for the headrests? are they the same size etc...

    3. when removing the rear bench seat is there bolts that need removed or do you just need to pry up at front end?

All GM A body buckets are the same only seat patterns are different. I would buy seat covers from Legendary as they are the manufacturers and are the best. Headrests all the same............. Lower back seat has to be removed first. Just push straight in at lowest point possible. Easier with two people at the same time pushing. The cross wise metal rods are in two slots that when you push in they go in then pop up. Then just pull lower seat up. Upper seat back has two screws with large washers at bottom that need to be reoved after you remove bottom seat. Then just lift up on upper seat to remove from hooks...........Also make sure whover put in buckets used correct seat brackets for buckets and just did not bolt through floor. There should be an inner bracket for each seat with two studs with nuts. There should be an outer front bracket for each seat with a stud. These brackets should be welded in. The rear outer hole on each seat is the only place that bolts to the floor.

You will have to punch the holes for the head rests. No biggee. Once the covers are on, you will easily be able to feel where to punch the hole. But don't try to do it before you install the covers!
