Getting ready to put my seats back in on my 1971 Riviera. Did a floor pan replacement and replaced my chewed up carpet.
My question is, does the seat bracket/nut go over the carpet, or under?

Looking around online I've seen it both ways. My old carpet was too chewed up to really tell which was proper.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I think the bracket should be in direct contact with the floor, so I guess that means "under" the carpet, or through the cut.

Bracket goes under the carpet. The carpet is cut in a fashion so that it covers the bracket/bolt flange when it’s pushed back down.
