Getting ready to put my seats back in on my 1971 Riviera. Did a floor pan replacement and replaced my chewed up carpet. My question is, does the seat bracket/nut go over the carpet, or under? Looking around online I've seen it both ways. My old carpet was too chewed up to really tell which was proper.
I think the bracket should be in direct contact with the floor, so I guess that means "under" the carpet, or through the cut.
Bracket goes under the carpet. The carpet is cut in a fashion so that it covers the bracket/bolt flange when it’s pushed back down.
