I am looking for seat belts for my 71 GSX , complete set. Who has the best? Also who can restore the gauge faces?

Not sure will have to look to find. At the risk of sounding stupid is the code on the belt or trim plate?

Both the cowl tag and the belts. The belts are not usually the same date code in the front and the back.

If you have the correct belts and need them retored the only place I know is:

    What colour do you need?
I recently posted a set of green from a '72. Check "Parts For Sale".

    Seat Belts

I bought a set from a guy in Dallas (I think) named Stewart for my 65 Wildcat. His ebay name is zugski. His email is/was zugski@comcast.net Belts are very nice. Do a search on his past auctions. I delt with him directly and not through Ebay. He's got 100% feedback. Very nice guy and made sure I was happy with the belts.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Most of the time, 90%, you can just wash them with soap and hot water. Then use SEM dye to make them look like new. If you have the stainless covers, you can polish them. If you have the textured covers, you can remove them, beadblast them and paint them to make them look like new. I do this all the time and never had a problem.

Thanks George I'll try that idea. The belts are in pretty good condition, just faded and the ends I can do as you suggested.
