    Hi,
On my '72 Riviera I have noticed that when it rains (I am in the UK and don't have a cover yet) water gets between the gap of the fender and the hood. There is no seal present. It is not a big deal but the water goes over items such as the battery and also pools into some recesses.

Has anybody created their own seal system or retrofitted something that helps prevent the water getting in? I will be getting a cover for the summer and storing over the winter, so it is not a big deal but I just wondered.

Its not a big deal, don't worry about it.
If you try to seal it the water that does get in (and it will) wont be able to evaporate out.
When you do get a car cover get a good one, make sure you have ventilation.

Thanks for the advice. If I were to seal around between the fender and hood, would the water not just evaporate through the other openings such as the grille other openings?

I have ordered a Stormshield+ cover from these guys:

When the water evaporates it wants to go upwards, not make a turn and go thru the grill.
As Hugger said don’t over think this.
