    Weather?

    Hey,
Yeah, I'm planning on going, but it sounds like the weather is gonna be going to you know what in a handbag. We'll see though.

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

    Maybe next weekend, too

P.D. they are also running on the 1st of Nov at 1:00 pm. Although that is our weekend to work, I might be able to cut out early at make it then too.

I think youcan count on us to make it on the 24th. We'll probably load up the car on Thursday night so we won't be too late on Friday night.

I'll ask Eric for sure tonight when he gets back from the shop. Let you know later.

Todd? Any ideas if you can make it. Anyone else in the area as well. Let's get 'em out there and show 'em what can be done.:TU:

    Not going to make it

Sorry Eric, not going to make it tonight. Ended up working a double shift and there's too much wind to make it worthwhile. Shooting now for the 1st of Nov. Take it easy.

    P.D.

You can count on me to make it to Scribner, September 24. I plan on being there around 7:00 with the 'Lark. I've got the slicks on and the motor warmed up...'course, I'd better shut it off now, I don't want to run out of gas. :)

Guys I can make it the 24th. As of know the weather looks Good. Who ever gets there first should get a pit area for the group. I am looking forward to a few runs and just talking to the group. I want to see Rob H and Dave P run, it should be a good race. Thanks Bill.

Ok, just to clear up a few things. Post's 1-4 were posted in 2003, but the date is still for the 24th of Sept this year. Last year it was for the 24th of Oct. I find it a funny coincedence that the dates are the same. I have taken Fri and Sat off from work so we can make it a late night. Lets get a few Buicks up there this year. The few times I've been there with my Century I was the only buick there.

Looks like you can count P.D and myself in, sounds like a good time. Bill is there anyone else in the Omaha area that used to be in the club that would go ? Sounds like some of the Colorado gang and others may be going to Kearney that weekend ???

    Hey Todd,
Brad said he would be there in his 72 Suncoupe and I am trying to get James West to go.

Rob, do you have a number for Mike Utterback, he may want to go. Other than James I do not know of any other Buick people that are into racing here in Omaha. The old GS club fell apart and the old Buick club don't even drive there cars. But as they say old Buick owners never die they just buy another Buick project. Bill Sangster.

The last I knew Mike moved to Kansas City, the last I talked to him was at the GS Nationals in 2001. So I don't know his phone number and I don't think I know any more Buick friends in this area either. James West is going to go. And he said he would try to collect a few more people he knows and get them to show up also.

P.S. Got your fenders painted yet?

Hey John. As far as I know Greg and Eric went up last night. Their puter is down for the count at present so probably if they took pics it will be a bit before they get them posted. But someone else may have took pics. Keep your fingers crossed.

i didnt make it :ball:. somehow i managed to bend, twist, or break the right rear spring on my rearend. not sure which, have not had time to work on it yet. it looks like a lowrider on one side and like its jacked up with air shocks on the other

who sells the best coil springs? dont need anything fancy, just a new set of coils. brad.

    Hey Brad,

We made it up Friday night. There were six cars that made it there. I had a GREAT time. I ran my personal best EVER!!! Others complained of traction problems. However, my transmission was slipping so it was helping me out by not allowing me to loose traction while going into second gear.

I just got a new set of rear springs for my GS through the GSCA. If you want to wait awhile Dave Payne is taking all of his springs off his GS and replacing them with new ones from the GSCA this winter. He said you can have the old ones when he is done, but it won't be for awhile.

Greg took a bunch of pics at the starting line. It was dark so they aren't the best but you can make out the cars.

Still wish the blown Camaro would have made a full throttle run.
