just a thought When I sold parts at Summit Racing I remember there are two different HEI coils. One having a red and white wire, and the other having red and yellow wires. I can't remember the exact difference in the impedence but might be causing the high current issues. Maybe someone else can check what they are running, if I remember the red and yellow is more common.. Hope this helps a little want to see you at Salem in the Buick...
Thanks all for the help and advice it is greatly appreciated...but the gremlins persist, so I have loaded up the Rendezvous and am heading out in 1/2 hour to meet up with Al Yeager. We'll be setting out sights on Salem. Should be pulling in before noon. I will thank who I can persoanlly there.
