Stands are open... no roof or anything. It gives you a chance to watch the planes circle and land at the runway down the road. I keep waiting for one to get confused and land on the track, haha. There is a place with picnic tables by where they sell food, but it's small and hard to see the track from there. Be sure to bring some shades, suntan lotion, and something to sit under, or you might be miserable. I just hope the weather is good. We have had a couple bad years- lots of rain.
Hmmm....would you happen to know what airpport that is ?? I have a friend who now may fly in :Brow: At Raceway park EnglishTown there is a very small airport right alongside....even oriented exactly the same as the track ou: and yes....over the years a plane or two have landed on the drag strip by mistake there ou:
It's Salem airpark. I had a friend at work who flies look it up for me on his map. He seemed to think it was a decent little airport. You could probably walk from there to the track with no problem. :Brow: http://www.airnav.com/airport/38D
Relation? Thatsa my boy!!!!! We have had planes land on dragstrip there. Last time I remember was in the 60's. I'm sure it has happened since though. No shade but I'm sure there will be plenty of enclosed trailers to sit in. Come and visit me and we'll pull up a lawnchair and BS. Steve (Sr.)
Well I made my reservations a couple weeks ago. Lucky for me I picked the Red Roof Inn. I cant wait till Aug. to get to see all the awesome cars that so many of you have . And to also get to meet all of you.I'm sure its going to be a great time.

I am in the prosess of stripping the car down to bare metal :moonu: to get ready for repaint God is this thing big :jd: it mite take longer than I thought just removeing is taking longer than I thought and I really just started last week and lost 3 days fixing the garage furnance and the one at the house that my daughter rents from me but thats life best laid plans and all that.
I only live 35 minutes away from QC. It takes me longer to drive to work and you guys are starting to make me think about booking a party room at the Red Roof!!
wooo... hopefully i can pull together a trailer or somethin and take my dads truck with the camper with the car... if not.. .maybe i'll have to sleep in the backseat or somethin.. i'm sure by the time i figure this crap out the hotels will be booked and i won't have a chance of gettin in there.. lol... we'll see.. if anything i'm gonna be there with or without a car.. but i'd really like to race mr. schmidt no chance of me beating him but oh well heh... not to mention i'd love to meet a ton of you guys.. mr. weise, actually get to talk to mr. schmidt this time instead of being intimidated by his little car and all the people he had oogling it, not to mention mr. martin, we'll certainly have some fun i'm sure.. i'm gonna have to line up with ya and see what that little convert can do against the lark sounds like a good time and i can't wait to go... now.. if i can somehow figure out how i can work buick race day into my schedule... damn finals in college the week right after.. *sigh* roberta... talk to my teachers and make them let me take it ahead of time!

I think I'll find and buy a pop-up canopy. Can't hurt to have one. Lord knows I'd have used it a lot before today. I'm at the Red Roof as well. I have a roomy too.

That's OK. I have a spastic colon, flatulance and body odor. I also sleep walk nightly, whacking snakes in the yard with a baseball bat. But don't worry though, I'm sure my subconscious will recognize that you aren't a snake... :sleep: :moonu:
