I didn't know where else to put this, but anyways I'm wondering where the best place is to buy safety harnesses for a race car? Also what is required to install one?

I would get the RCI "platinum" series 5 point harness, actually I did. The reason is that racing belts are only good for 2 years, even if your car sits in the garage for 2 years, NHRA rules say replace them. The "platinum" series is good for 4 years, 2 years, and then there's an invoice in the box to send the belts back for a recert. for another 2 years. They do cost alittle more, I'd say an average SFI 5 point belt is $65, the "platinums" are like $75. Jegs and Summit is the place to get them, and there are like 3 different mounting types, also different latches for the belts, mounting depends on roll bar, or just your car, latches, thats personal prefrence.

I think that the Y type harness is no longer legal in NHRA or IHRA. Tom
