Still looks like there may be a few good parts.... That rear wheel well trim is hard to find in good condition..

I don't know why yard owners don't and wont cover cars. They must make to much money.

a $2 tarp would of stopped that.

I wonder if it fell after someone opened up the doors???

The car doesn't look *that* rusty in the picture, I wonder if someone took the floors/rockers for another project and left the rest sitting like that... I've seen some awfully rusted heaps before, but never seen that happen....

I think that rear wheel well trim is specific to the cars with body side moldings. I think they are the half length ones that aren't normally found on the GS.

    A sad sight.

Looking at that it is hard to believe there was a day when the first owner proudly drove that of the Buick dealers lot. :3gears:

    look at the picture

the front half looks closer, and the rear half looks further away, from that picture:puzzled:

Why would someone just let it sit unprotected long enough for that to happen. I bet someone (or several "someones" over time) offered to buy that at one time. I'd also bet the owner said, "No, I'm going to restore it someday." Yeah, right!!! Someday came and went, buddy! Things like that just steam me!!!:af: :af: :blast:

As a compulsive saver things like that steam me too. But on the flip side about a half dozen Buick guys could have stepped up to the plate to save my basketcase 70 stage 1 and didn't.

I did and some of these same guys have been pestering me to sell it to them now that I have saved it (I overpaid for it at the time I bought it), stored it inside and begun collecting parts for it. Their hook now is that they would finish it right up and put it back on the road where it belongs instead of languishing in a storage building in Northern Minnesota.

Easier to do now that we know what they are worth.

Hopefully this one will save another one not so far gone.

When I bought my 72 GS ragtop I was told by a bystander who lived in the area that 14 or 15 people had looked at it prior to me buying it outta that field....

I guess I was the insane one.

There are several buicks at "carsinbarns.com" including one where the rear window had slowly sunk out of view, and a 71 lime GSX...
