A sad day..... My girfriend's older brother (62 yrs old) just spent 3 weeks at Johns Hopkins hospital to have his bladder removed (due to bladder cancer) and a new one made from a part of his intestine. The surgery went well but then infection came in. They had to open him back up and clean/disinfect. Fever up to 104.5. Was near death as pneunomia and delerium set in. Family was going to give last rites but he responded to the antibiotics. I saw him Sunday and he looked great, joking, etc. Went home Monday and today Tuesday AM a blood clot in his leg went to his lungs and he passed away in the ambulance to the hospital. All he went thru and a clot gets him.......ou: Bruce
I am very sorry to hear about that. He sounded like a real trooper. Prayers go out to his family and friends. ray:
Thanks all...... He was an autobody guy and a smoker. (quit 15 yrs ago) I hear that the bladder gets a hit from both of those. He never made it out to see my cars. He did see the JAGUICK at his house on the way to US13 though.......
My condolences on your loss Bruce. I cannot help but wonder if he had any pain in his leg, but chose to ignore it. Reason being is I just went through something similar with my right leg. I had periodic intense pain, and my doctor initially suspected a blood clot. That was a major whack to my head, as I know how serious these can be. He sent me for ultrasound, which thankfully, ruled out a clot.
