I am selling my 400 short shaft trans and converter I used in my bracket racer. It has a lower gear ratio in 1st and 2nd than stock. Since I had the trans built I put three passes on it at SIR in Kent Wa. 11.07 11.10 and 11.05 At that time I was running one of the junk converters ( so they say ) from poston. I ran it for years without any trouble. The trans went into my 53 and I ran it on the street for about 4000 miles. So it is still in very good condition. The converter I have is still in the box it came from the rebuilder in. I had it built by Continental converters in Inglewood California. They are a well known company used by the Pontiac guys. They built the converter to have a 1200 low stall and a 2300 high stall behind my engine. I haven't dynoed it so not sure what the torque or horsepower is, I gave them a 475 HP and 550 TQ number. Should be in the ballpark. $850 pick up preferred but would work with buyer on shipping. Bob H.

No worries Bob, I made an offer, you said you would consider it, and then another deal came up so I passed. I did find another but would have rathered buy yours thats why I say "not in time"... If you want to sell the converter seperate let me know. Good luck on the sale, should be a great deal!
