    Question 1:
I see that TA Perf. has discontinued the steel shim head gaskets for the 455's. Is there any other vendor/source for these?

    Question 2:
How much can heads be milled before adjustable push rods become a "must have"?

    Question 3
I've always heard the term "shot peened rods", but I've never heard any one explain what this process is/does. What is done when rods are "shot peened"?

they put the rods in a bath of some sort with these really small BB'S, like buck shot i think they are smaller then 1/16'' diameter, then they apply presure, this prosess stress releaves the surface, thats all i really know

i run adjustable push rods, they are great for dialing in for that perfect fit, you do have a little leway with nonadjustable pushrod if you are running hydralic lifters, what happens is if they are to loose they rattle and you loose valve lift and duration, and if they are to tight the valve will not open and close at the right time and if they are really tight your valve wont close at all and you can break rockers, so these coditions can really effect performance, but if is just a little off eather way you may not even notice, you just may loose a couple h/p. also POSTONS sell the steal gasket 1-800-635-9781 hope this helps kelly
