#s Help for 455 that has been decked?

    I bought a fresh rebuilt 455 block that sat for 10 years.The motor builder
    is no longer a round.The heads are 73s that much I know.But the block has been decked I can make out four #s from the VIN.But no letters.The casting numbers on the top back of the block are 1241735 can any one Help?

    Could be 73-75 but since the heads are 73 that suggests the block may be too.

    Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

    That would be a '72-'76 block. If heads are '73, odds are block is as well.

    Thanks guys ,I just like to know what compression and clearence I have.
