update - took off the air horn, cleaned the needle seat, blew out the inlet passage, readjusted the float to 15/32, put it all backtogether and now it seems to run perfect at 180 degrees. i havent done the 45 min test yet. I hope it stays like this, im still going to get cliffs magic float and needle though and a thicker base gasket to keep heat out of the bowl. so thanks everyone for your brainpower appreciated hope i can help you all out too whenever i can, feel free to use my gear ratio calculator.

now change your oil, prob a bit thin with all the fuel wash you had. Just a thought. I drained 12 qt out of a SBC a couple of weeks ago because of the same prob (friends ride , not mine).

The gas that's in the oil???
    Your kidding right?
If not- A LOT LONGER THAN IT WOULD TAKE TO FRY YOUR BEARINGS.

Might want to change it anyway just to be on the safe side. And put a wix filter on it if you don't use them allready.

Just like the Air Cleaners used to say, "Keep your GM car all GM." Keep using AC Filters. I've noticed with AC filters the oil light goes out quicker on start up compared to other brand filters.
