You should not, as all the crossmembers back then had the 2 humps/bumps to allow duals. I hope you have enough cam and other extras to make the headers worth it, I had headers on my stock '68 GS350 for a short time and didn't do a thing for performance cause of it being so stock. RV

Good luck with the header swap... I don't have them on mine, but I'd like to know how it turns out... it doesn't look like there is much room where the steering arm comes down... good luck!

I have no problems what so ever, just had to relocate the trans cooler lines on the passenger side. There is tons of room, I even left in the A/C plumbing and all (still working too :eek2: ) and there's still room. I'm looking to do a motor and trans swap this weekend, and I'm going to do this without taking the headers off too :eek2: . Eric, if you still have doubts with clearance, you will see mine at the picnic :TU: . Lets just say, the headers are kind of hidden, you have to look for the "hooker super comp" contingency tag on them to see what they are :Brow: . I will post soon some pics when I start my new car soon.

 I'm hoping to see a lot at the picnic that will help me out in the future... as well as meeting some great people from here!

I knew the trans cooler lines would be easy to re-route, but I wasn't sure about the steering arm... I would probably go with shorty headers, but I guess now looking at it there is more clearance than I realized... I still wanna see how they look under there

No prob, as long as you can hold out till the picnic to see  . There is tons of clearance between the steering shaft and the full length header. I will show you when the picnic comes :TU: .
