Hey all i was just wondering about discerning a buick 8 from a chevy/pontiac etc.

Do you think one can tell if its a buick engine if the distributor's at the back of the engine? Or do others also put their distributor back there?

    Thanks

What year are you talking about Red?
Engines like the Nailhead had the distributor at the back.
Later engines had it at the front.

I'm no expert, but I think all Buick engines starting in 1967 had the distributors in the front.

Ah, that's easy. See, the chevy is the one getting all the glory, but the Buick is the one winning all the races.
